Applicants must have a Florida Professional Certificate with endorsement in the appropriate area to comply with the “Highly Qualified” requirement of “No Child Left Behind”. Out of state teachers will be considered if the applicant has applied for his/her Florida Teaching Certificate and has received a “Statement of Eligibility” from the Florida Department of Education.

Job Description: The Villages Charter School is taking applications for a student focused high school guidance counselor to help students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and responsible men and women. Knowledge and experience in working with scholarships and Florida Bright Futures is a plus. This position will work closely with the other guidance counselor in coordinating testing (FCAT, ACT, SAT, etc.) and other student services duties. Some summer work may be required depending on the needs of students (scheduling, scholarship follow up). Florida Professional Certificate in Guidance & Counseling/K-12 is required.
