Here we are at the end of the school year. Can you believe it? I know I can't. I have planned a lot of fun things for us to do next week. Monday is science day and we will be doing inquiries with magnets and kites. Tuesday is Social Studies day and we will be making a 3-D topographical map of the United States using home made play dough. Wednesday is math day and we will do several math based activities. Then of course we will have our awards that afternoon. Thursday will be memory day and we will read the letters they wrote to themselves at the start of the year and make a memory book of this school year.
Friday, unfortunately, I will not be here. My youngest son is graduating from college that day. I am sure you will understand, but I will not be telling the kids until Wednesday. Please let me tell them. I will be sure to plan a lot of fun thing to do and some parents will be coming in to as well. I would like to suggest that Friday will be the day to celebrate the summer birthdays from the end of May through July. I have six students with summer birthdays.
I could never thank you enough for what you have meant to me this year. You have been the best group of parents I have ever had. Your involvement and support has meant a great deal to me. If you ever need anything next year please feel free to call on me.
I hope to see you all on Wednesday afternoon, 1;00-2:00 pm.
