Mr. Robert Trifu « Teacher Connection / Documents / Calendar

Welcome to 7th Grade Civics and Economics! Brace yourself for a challenging year of what we hope will contain many positive educational experiences for you.

In this month of September, we will be studying our colonial history and the events that lead up to our break with Great Britain. Considerable time will be devoted to analyzing the Declaration of Independence. Students will be required to memorize the most popular portions of that document. Then we will compare and contrast our Constitutions and analyze their contents.

Civics tutoring will be available to struggling students in room 124 from 3:30 - 4:00 every other Wednesday starting on 9/29. So the dates for this semester will be 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/10, 12/1, and 12/15. Eligible students will receive a letter to bring home, recommending that they attend these tutoring sessions in an effort to raise their low average.
