Welcome to 7th Grade Civics and Economics! Brace yourself for a challenging year of what we hope will contain many positive educational experiences for you. By the end of this school year, you will have gained considerable knowledge and will be able to see the world more clearly so that the impact you will make upon it will have greater significance. I am looking forward to sharing this year with you and helping you succeed not only in this course, but in life as well - as you apply what you will learn to many of life's situations and better yourself as well as society.
Students will receive research project information early in November. The due date will be Nov. 14th. We are currently studying influences on public opinion and public policy. Students will learn about the many ways they can interact with government, leading up to a unit on the legislative branch of our federal government.
