I am thrilled to be teaching 8th grade English Language Arts (ELA) this year! I look forward to partnering with each of you to produce great things.

ELA Class Supplies

If you have not purchased your supplies yet, the necessary supplies for language arts in 2022-2023 are:

1 composition notebook with 100pgs. no spiral notebooks please. 

AR Info

All incoming 8th Grade students should have gotten 12 AR points over the summer.  This will be your first grade, so as long as you have reached your 12 point goal, you will start the year with a 100%!

2022-2023 Sunshine State Books

For those of you that would like to gain an extra field trip this year, the media specialist hosts a Sunshine State Book challenge.  All students that read and AR test on all of the SSYRA Books by March 25th will be eligible for the trip.  For a complete list and a review for all of the Sunshine State Books, look at the 2022-2023 Sunshine State Young Readers Award Books.
