Students interested in taking Dance Class as their Elective or Physical Education Class please read below:
- CURRENT VCMS Dance Students are automatically "auditioned" for the next level of dance class through their daily class work and performances this year.
- Students not in VCMS Dance Class this year must open this link and complete the 23-24 MS Dance Elective Interest Google Form. This form is for ALL current 5th, 6th and 7th grade students.
- Students who are new to dance or have some past experience in dance are welcome to our MS Dance Elective Class. We only require that you participate in an "audition" to be placed in the correct class. In the "audition", we will do a dance warm up and a line dance that we will teach you.
The audition class for 5th graders has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 17 from 3:15 - 4:15 in the VCMS Dance Studio. Mrs. Hancock will meet the 5th grade students at the 4-5 Center aftercare lobby at 3:05 pm to walk them over to the Middle School for the audition.
The audition class for 6th & 7th graders will be Wednesday, May 17 from 3 - 4 in the VCMS Dance Studio. - Please note that the following groups of students do not need to participate in a live audition but must complete the interest form.
- Students Auditioning for the Golden Girl Dance Team
- Students currently taking a Buffalo Adventures Dance Class and are performing in the Spring Dance Concert
- Students who are currently taking Dance Classes at a Dance Studio. The name of the studio and dance teacher will be information to share on the google form above.

Special Note: 2 of our Middle School Dance classes are split into 2 performing groups due to the number of dancers in the class. Please reference this list to locate your child's name, group placement and performance date and time. You will need this information to purchase the correct dance tickets. Please look for the Spring Dance Concert Communication #3 in your email on Monday, April 3rd. It is scheduled to be sent at 8:00 am. The PDF is also listed below.

This shoe is a great fit and allows for growth. There are also narrow sizes available.
Fitting guidelines: Sizing: Start with 2 sizes down from normal street shoe size.Width Suggestions: B - Narrow C - Medium These guidelines are for an experienced dancer fit which is very snug. I usually suggest beginning dancers to have a loose fit as they adjust to the feel of a ballet shoe.

This shoe is an option for our jazz and lyrical dances. This is not an option to use for ballet class or performances.
