Road Work on CR 466 Planned Soon

We have been advised that Sumter County will begin a transportation project which will address intersection efficiency and safety on the C-466 corridor between C-105 and Buena Vista. The project will add directional median openings at C-466 & Preston and C-101 & Wedgewood and extend left turn lanes (increase capacity) on C-466 eastbound at C-105, C-103, C-101 and Buena Vista to convert these intersections to protected only left turns off C-466. There will also be changes to the signal head configuration and signalization timings to achieve the desired improvements to intersection safety and efficiency.

Per Sumter County, work will be accomplished to minimize impacts to school, and commercial traffic. Schedule to be determined by Sumter County this winter.  Please direct all questions to Sumter County Public Works at 352-689-4400.
