School Surveys Available

The Villages Charter School believes in getting feedback in order to improve. As we have each of our 20 prior years, we will ask our parents how we did and how we can get better. Parent surveys will be available Friday, May 7th through Sunday, May 16, 2021. See the PDF below for details. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

VCS Updates Safety Protocols

Based upon updated guidance from the Center for Disease Control, the office of Governor DeSantis and from Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran, The Villages Charter School (VCS) will be making the following changes to our safety protocols and procedures.

Effectively Immediately

  • Masks are optional for all individuals when outside (e.g., outside recess and PE, outside afterschool programs, outside athletics, etc.)
  • Morning temperature checks will only be performed as needed.

Effective June 1, 2021

  • Masks are optional for all individuals for all activities on the VCS campus, including but not limited to, extracurricular and athletics, both inside and outside

Effective August 5, 2021

  • VCS will return to 100% in person instruction. Florida statutes will not permit charter schools to offer online courses.
  • VHS will return to a traditional 7-period school day

All other current safety procedures (e.g., staying home when ill, hand washing, social distancing, hallway patterns, etc.) will stay in place through July 31, 2021. VCS will be closely monitoring all scientific data and recommendations as we develop our safety protocols for the 2021-2022 school year.
