Important Announcement

Hurricane Milton

All campuses will be closed October 9th & 10th due to the hurricane.

Buffalo HERD

Together, we're Helping Educate Responsibly Developed children.

Welcome! Buffalo HERD is the parent organization that proudly supports The Villages Charter School (TVCS), playing an integral part in keeping families connected to the school, teachers, and programs that impact their educational environment.

We believe that the involved parent plays an important role in shaping their child’s educational experience. Buffalo HERD provides many opportunities throughout the school year. We invite all parents to come out and participate in our activities and events, which are also a great place to meet your children’s classmates.

Get Involved

From service projects and fundraisers to monthly HERD meetings and events, Buffalo HERD offers a variety of ways to get involved in the TVCS community and earn Parental Involvement (P.I.) Hours. Buffalo HERD meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (excluding January) and provide valuable information on the events and happenings around campus. Join us as we learn about student accomplishments in academics, fine arts and athletics, as well as upcoming campus-wide events.

Plus, everyone is invited to support our annual fundraisers, such as:

HERD fundraising makes a significant impact on the educational environment, positively supporting student learning. Here are just a few ways our involvement makes a difference: Teacher appreciation, testing breakfasts, tutoring, technology resources, field trip scholarships, and more!

As a cornerstone of The Villages Charter School system, Parental Involvement plays a pivotal part in the success of our educational community. Our Parent Involvement Handbook gives detailed information Parental Involvement requirements for enrollment and how to get involved.

Would you like to volunteer for our next event?

Please let us know how you’d like to serve the Buffalo HERD. Through the work of many hands, a heavy load is made light. Contact us at: vcsbuffaloherd@gmail.com.

We invite our alumni to come out and show their support at any of our annual events: Running with HERD 5k, Golf Tournament, the Basket Auction and more. See our annual calendar for more information.

Buffalo HERD is identified as a public charity and charitable organization. The Buffalo HERD Federal EIN is 93-2666139. See our Buffalo HERD Bylaws.
