Welcome! Buffalo HERD is the parent organization that proudly supports The Villages Charter School (VCS), playing an integral part in keeping families connected to the school, teachers, and programs that impact their educational environment.
We believe that the involved parent plays an important role in shaping their child’s educational experience. Buffalo HERD provides many opportunities throughout the school year. We invite all parents to come out and participate in our activities and events, which are also a great place to meet your children’s classmates.
From service projects and fundraisers to monthly HERD meetings and events, Buffalo HERD offers a variety of ways to get involved in the VCS community and earn Parental Involvement (P.I.) Hours. Buffalo HERD meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (excluding January) and provide valuable information on the events and happenings around campus. Join us as we learn about student accomplishments in academics, fine arts and athletics, as well as upcoming campus-wide events.
It is our goal to make the learning experience for all VCS students the very best it can be. Contact us at vcsbuffaloherd@gmail.com or learn more about the HERD below:
HERD fundraising makes a significant impact on the educational environment, positively supporting student learning. Here are just a few ways our involvement makes a difference: Teacher appreciation, testing breakfasts, tutoring, technology resources, field trip scholarships, and more!
As a cornerstone of The Villages Charter School system, Parental Involvement plays a pivotal part in the success of our educational community. Our Parent Involvement Handbook gives detailed information Parental Involvement requirements for enrollment and how to get involved.
Would you like to volunteer for our next event?
