As principal, I am pleased to welcome you to The Villages High School information page. This website will introduce you to a wonderful and exciting school of intense learning where the staff constantly challenges their students to excel in the classroom and in life.
The Villages High School’s demanding courses and programs prepare its graduates for the post-secondary setting along with the world of work. Alongside the courses necessary to be successful in the educational world, VHS has twenty-four (24) varsity sports for our student-athletes along with many clubs and fine arts programs along with different activities to round out the total educational experience.
Through our Advanced Studies Academy students may qualify for dual enrollment courses on our campus. VHS offers over 80 college semester hours of credit in Math, Science, Music, English, Social Studies, Spanish and Business. Students work with the Early College Site Manager at The Villages High School to fulfill the Associates Degree requirement through Lake Sumter State College.
AP (Advanced Placement) courses at VHS are offered in Music Theory (11-12), World History (10), US History (11), Statistics (12), Literature & Comp (12), Language & Comp (11-12), Government (12), Computer Science (10-12), Biology (10-12), 3-D Studio Art (12) and 2-D Studio Art (12).
