The Villages High School (VHS) Workforce is a collective effort focused on preparing students to enter the workforce after graduation. Through a combination of educational programming, off-site job training, and local employment opportunities, students can experience a variety of fields to develop the skills needed for future career success.
VHS Workforce offers Career & Technical Education pathways (CTE) that provide students with opportunities to gain the skills and education necessary to secure employment in one of Florida’s emerging industries upon graduation.
This training is provided through our Academies and through Florida’s Workforce Education Initiative with the Florida Department of Education via their Get There program.
Through internships, Academy students can gain career experience while still in high school. Additionally, there are paid minor job opportunities available, which can also count toward Community Service Hours.
Through our 12 Academies, juniors and seniors are provided an opportunity to explore career and technical pathways while also earning industry certifications which articulate to some higher education institutions. These courses and programs prepare graduates for the post-secondary setting along with the world of work.
Looking for seasonal, part-time or full-time job openings? Opportunities for area students ages 16 and up are occasionally posted on The Villages’ careers site.
