School field trips are designed to excite and engage our students with “hands-on learning” opportunities. These activities create the right balance of fun and education to develop critical thinking skills, bring classroom theory to reality, and make learning enjoyable.
Our trips vary for each grade and school year. All students must maintain quality academic performance and meet behavioral guidelines to be eligible to participate in these classroom extensions. If a student’s grades are questionable, it would not be reasonable to allow him/her to miss school to attend a trip.
Also remember: We are all ambassadors of The Villages Charter School (VCS) and, ultimately, of The Villages community. Therefore, students’ behavior is a direct reflection on their classmates, teachers, and our school. Our high standards do not stop at the school doors, they always follow us anytime we are representing VCS!
