The Villages Charter School (TVCS) fine arts program provides K-12 students with a comprehensive arts education that emphasizes creative self-expression, while encouraging a lifelong appreciation of the arts. Our passionate fine arts teachers provide guidance to students as they develop and nurture their unique talents in the visual and performing arts.
Students in grades K-5 gain a foundational exposure through weekly music and art classes, learning to express themselves creatively through various mediums. Opportunities to participate in chorus, musical performances, and dance classes round out the artistic experience.
Students in grades 6-8 enjoy an arts curriculum that engages and inspires them to discover the artist within. Middle schoolers can grow in their aspirations as musicians, artists, dancers, and theatrical performers through a dynamic offering of elective fine arts courses.
Students in grades 9-12 can choose from more than 45 fine arts courses, including Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment. At this level, they are empowered to develop talents, pursue passions, and achieve their creative post-secondary goals with confidence.
A cornerstone of a TVCS education, the arts play an important role in the curriculum and design of our campuses. From The Tracy, a state-of-the-art performing arts center, to courtyard gazebos, intimate stages and art galleries, our facilities encourage artistic expression and inspire creativity.
